Dog parking spaces in a city centre are tickling local pet owners.
The small bays cover an area of one square metre and have a tether post.
There is a sign that reads: “Dog Parking Space.”

Two pooch bays were reportedly set up about two months ago.
Locals have been flocking to the spaces to take photos of their pets tied to the post.
Some dog owners even ‘park’ themselves in the bay to pose for funny snaps.
A local official said: “They’re mainly for entertainment and are free of charge.
“People think they’re interesting and come to take photos.”

The spaces were set up in the city of Hengyang City located north-west of Hong Kong, China.
Similar bays have been installed in Shanghai, Wuhan, and other Chinese cities, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Some businesses use the spaces as a gimmick to attract customers.

Locals had a lot to say about the unusual doggy bays.
One joked: “Can cats park there too?”
“I want to tie my single friend there,” added another.
A third said: “We just arrived and my dog gave this feedback ‘the bay is spacious and it’s easy to park, five stars’.”
